Dog Sitting Question...

My 5 month old puppy, Winston, goes over to my parents house during the week to hang out with my retired father. My dad plays with, takes him for walks but generally lets Winston be in their yard. During my lunch breaks I am able to go to my parents and also take Winston for a walk. My partner thinks that having Winston go to my parents daily is bad for him. He thinks that this will confuse him of who his master is, I disagree and I think it's good for him to be outside in a fenced yard where he can run around and play. Everyday when he gets home he is pooped and sleeps well through the night. Will having Winston go to parents have any adverse affects?
