Although it may look a little pricy for some, but surprisingly the Glen of Imaal Terrier has very moderate needs in terms of grooming. Its coat must be brushed at least twice a week and its beard must be washed regularly for hygienic reasons. The hair on its bottoms must be trimmed daily to prevent any infections. For a couple of months or so, show dogs will have their dead coat stripped and for pet dogs to have theirs clipped. Their ears should also be checked regularly to prevent any risk of infections. They are also well-suited to those who have allergies for they do not shed fur too much, unlike others.
