Border Collie
Border Collies’ are trainable and very intelligent dogs. They are also alert and have lots of determination and stamina. It loves to please its owner, and can loves to learn many things. It is enjoyable teaching a Border Collie. As compared to all other breeds, this dog is not trainable but very good natured and loves to be with people. It has an even temperament. This pet is loyal, affectionate, and dedicated. Unfortunately, a Border Collie is not just for any pet owners because it needs lots of physical and mental challenges like walking, biking and running with its owners.
This breed loves to be with older children. It is a great companion for children. It protects their owners and can be cautious with strangers. The uniqueness of these dogs is it can get along with other pets. It has a strong sense of herding techniques, and can herd its very own owners or even other pets. The energetic level of a Border Collie can be managed by mental stimulation, exercise, and attention.
The distinct appearance of these breed is characterized by its weight which is measured at around 30 to 50 pounds. It is also grows 17 to 20 in height. This breed wears is coat longer, feathered, or short, depending on the variety of coat it has. Border Collies who wear its coat short is easy to maintain, as compared to the long feathered coat. Its eyes are colored blue and brown, but some have a unique combination of both. It also wears a keen and alert expression.

Border Collies sheds heavily as compared to its other breed counterparts. It is a medium shredder. The length of the coat may require a weekly or daily brushing. There are times when shedding can be heavy, so it will require a three times a day grooming whenever necessary.
Border Collies need weekly brushing, cleaning, and combing, to keep its coat really in tip top shape. Eye and ear care is also important to avoid fungal attack infections, its eyes have to be checked regularly to avoid the onset of infectious dog diseases.
