It can be very shy at times. This breed is responsive, sensitive, and sweet. Bernese Mountain Dogs weighs at around 65 to 120 pounds and can grow from 23 to 28 inches. It wears its coat thick and elegant. It has a medium length. The coat is straight and wavy. It has a black ebony coat but you can find some unique markings on its chest, feet and face. In the eyes, it has red markings. Generally, this breed is robust and good looking dog.

Bernese Mountain Dogs have a medium requirement in maintenance and grooming schedule. Usually, owners brush their Bernese Mountain Dog at the maximum of two weeks. It wears its coat really think, and thus needing the twice a week brushing. During shredding days, it will require more than twice a week to maintain its coat.
Health, Lifetime And Dog Lineage

This breed almost fell into extinction last 1800s. It survives the 1800’s and became very popular, until it was registered with AKC by the year 1937.
