American Foxhound
If you need a great companion with a happy disposition, you are looking for an American Foxhound. It is a loyal, loving, and energetic dog. An American Foxhound is a wonderful pet to own. It loves to go around and explore.
This dog must have a secured and protected area; otherwise, it can explore on its own, and meet lots of people and dogs. This breed is protective to its owners. It protects their owners from strangers. Sometimes they can be friendly and at other times protective and reserved. These dogs usually chase smaller animals, like cats and rabbits.

An American Foxhound can grow from 21 to 25 which includes aerobics, it can also weight from 60 to 90 pounds. Most American Foxhounds wears a keen alert expression. It is also athletic and robust.
Sprucing Up An American Foxhound:
Grooming a Foxhound is manageable as it is not a heavy shedder. Brushing its coat can be once every week. The hard coat is maintained by a damp cloth to keep it in glossy and good condition. The ear canals have to be dried and cleaned.
Health:
American Foxhounds normally lives from 10 to 12 years. It has lots of health problems associated with this breed; these are hip problems, spinal problems, spinal problems, deafness, and bleeding disorders! Parents of this pup carry OFA certificates.

The lineage of an American Fox hound is an English Foxhound. An American Foxhound was bred in USA. Its primary responsibility was to hunt cayotes, deer, and foxes!
